Early treatment of migraine with triptans works better when they are taken early in an attack, when the pain is still mild

A team of researchers reporting in the July/August issue of Headache, The Journal of Head and Face Pain, gave rizatriptan to 112 patients between the ages of 20 and 64 with a history of migraine that worsened when left untreated.
